JMC Wood Manufacturing was built upon a dream three and a half decades ago. My father, Sheldon Jappa, dreamt he could fill a void in the marketplace and offer top-quality wood laminated parts with commensurate customer service.

And, since 1972, we've done just that. The dream never died. In fact, since fulfilling my life dream of owning JMC in November of 2004, dreaming takes on new life and meaning, as my vision for the family owned business is realized.

JMC is celebrating 35 years of laminating and fabricating wood products; it's also celebrating its third full year of operation under second-generation ownership. With new ownership comes new vigor and enthusiasm; results do not lie. Sales are up a whopping 140%.

That's only the start—in fact, we fully anticipate 2008 as being a 35-year history sales record year and we are dreaming big as we gear up.

Here's a quick look at some of the exciting highlights of JMC:

• JMC is your “one stop wood shop.” JMC is capitalizing on its core competency in wood processing and venturing into new markets and industries with it. This equates to more lamination processes and the ability to offer a wide variety of interrelated custom fabricated parts from one source. No other Mid-western wood fabricator can offer: custom lamination, profile wrapping, membrane pressing, and panel processing, all under one roof. MDF powder coating is offered in partnership. Now that is a dreamy product line for many purchasing agents.

• Specifically, JMC's new offerings cover membrane pressing, high pressure laminate lay up and fabrication, contour edgebanding, raw MDF molding, miter folding and assembly. We are dreaming up and adding new capabilities as the market dictates. We have new customers in the speaker, closet, kitchen cabinet, office furniture, and the store fixture industries who are name brand leaders in their industry. • At JMC board and laminate matter but it is all about the glue. JMC's exclusive, vigorously-tested, and developed, new proprietary glues and gluing processes —HPBond©, PopFree©, KissCoat©, PressFit© and WRAPtight©— each representing an exciting leap forward in wood laminate technology!

• JMC continues to invest in its future. We want to grow with you and become an extension of your own manufacturing plant. Since my ownership began 3 years ago, JMC has purchased 5 CNC point to point routers including 3 Busellato's and 2 Weeke's, 2 contour banders an IMA and a Cehisa, a Brandt large 3mm capable flat edgebander, a Holzma saw, a HPL laminating line, a Weinig 8 head molder, and a membrane press. With the ability to lay-up HPL and a full fabrication product line, and substantially greater profile wrapping capabilities we have been beefing up our capacity to meet your needs. New technology is being integrated to streamline and diversify fabrication and compliment your precise needs in a time sensitive way.

• Topping it all off, it's all about our employees; who are committed to JMC and your business. We've doubled the size of our hourly workforce and put in place a stellar second shift. Most importantly, JMC has hired four new managers that are seasoned, versatile, and highly competent with a combined total of 125 years of wood fabrication experience. Who would have dreamt that JMC could have 9 managers with 250 plus years of wood fabricating and laminating experience? This adds up to an amazing average of 27 years of industry knowledge for each manager.

You might say our dreams are coming true every day. Simply put, we've worked feverishly (sometimes nightmarishly!) to make JMC a premier company in the wood fabrication and processing market. JMC is constantly improving, developing, expanding, and by doing so our competitors have a formidable opponent. JMC is now significantly better prepared to solve all your wood laminating and fabricating needs. When we say full service — we mean it!

As you can see, it's an all-new JMC—which is why (as you may have already noticed) we've made a few cosmetic changes, too. We have a new name — JMC Wood Manufacturing, a new logo, and two new taglines that says it all:
